چکیده

Abstract This paper presents new techniques and mechanisms for carrying streams of layered video using Scalable Video Coding (SVC) from servers to clients, utilizing the Packet Wash mechanism which is part Big Protocol (BPP). BPP was designed handle transfer packets high-bandwidth, low-latency applications, aiming overcome a number issues current networks have with high precision services. One most important advantages that it allows dynamic adaption during transmission. uses reduce payload, size packet by eliminating specific chunks. For video, this means cutting out segments transferred rather than dropping packets, as happens UDP based transmission, or retrying transmission TCP. The chunk elimination approach well matched SVC these are utilized presented. An evaluation performance provided, plus comparison TCP, other common approaches media over IP. Our main contributions mapping into provide low latency, loss delivery, provides better QoE either when those mechanisms. has proved be an effective way enhance streaming obtaining continuous while maintaining guaranteed quality at receiver. In work we successfully used H264 encoded BPP, can demonstrate delivery latency in limited bandwidth environments.

Resilient Packet Ring Low Priority Traffic Latency

Resilient Packet Ring (RPR IEEE 802.17) is an insertion buffer, dual ring technology, utilizing a back pressure based fairness algorithm to distribute bandwidth when congestion occurs. The fairness algorithm may oscillate and under some conditions the oscillations continue indefinitely even under stable load conditions. In this paper, we evaluate the latency experienced by packets sent during s...

Low Latency Adaptive Media Streaming on PRRT

Adaptive media streaming is an emerging technology that improves Internet multimedia by dynamically adjusting the video quality. However, state-of-the-art solutions in adaptive media streaming such as Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) are based on HTTP/TCP and require large receiver buffers in the order of tens of seconds to achieve continuous video streaming at the receivers. To over...

Supporting Low Latency TCP-Based Media Streams

The dominance of the TCP protocol on the Internet and its success in maintaining Internet stability has led to several TCP-based stored media-streaming approaches. The success of these approaches raises the question whether TCP can be used for low-latency streaming. Low latency streaming allows responsive control operations for media streaming and can make interactive applications feasible. We ...

Low Power and Low Latency Phase-‎Frequency Detector in Quantum-Dot ‎Cellular Automata Nanotechnology

Nowadays, one of the most important blocks in telecommunication circuits is the frequency synthesizer and the frequency multipliers. Phase-frequency detectors are the inseparable parts of these circuits. In this paper, it has been attempted to design two new structures for phase-frequency detectors in QCA nanotechnology. The proposed structures have the capability of detecting the phase ...

A Low-Power Packet Memory Architecture with a Latency-Aware Packet Mapping Method

A packet memory stores packets in internet routers and it requires typically RTT ×C for the buffer space, e.g. several GBytes, where RTT is an average round-trip time of a TCP flow and C is the bandwidth of the router’s output link. It is implemented with DRAM parts which are accessed in parallel to achieve required bandwidth. They consume significant power in a router whose scalability is heav...
